Net Worth Calculator

Use this free net worth calculator to add up what you own and what you owe. Enter your assets, such as bank balances, deposits, mutual funds, shares, gold, retirement savings and property, and your loans and dues. The calculator shows your net worth, how your assets are spread, and how long your liquid assets could cover your expenses.
How this net worth calculator works
Add up what you own, using today’s market values, and what you owe. Net worth is the difference. The calculator also shows how your assets are spread between financial assets, retirement savings, property and others, how large your liabilities are compared with your assets, and how many months of expenses your cash, deposits, funds and shares could cover. For example, a household with ₹1.08 crore of assets, of which ₹60 lakh is the home they live in, and ₹33 lakh of loans has a net worth of ₹75 lakh. Financial assets are 27% of the assets, and property is 56%. The starting figures are only an example. Replace them with your own.
How to read the result
Net worth is a snapshot, and it changes as markets move, loans are repaid and savings grow. Checking it once or twice a year shows whether you are building wealth. A large share in one asset, such as property, can leave you with little that is easy to use in an emergency, so the calculator also shows how long your liquid assets would last.
What this calculator does not include
The values you enter are your own estimates. Property and gold values can be hard to pin down, and selling can cost money. The calculator does not include your income, your insurance or money owed to you, and it does not include any tax you would pay on selling. Retirement savings such as EPF, PPF and NPS are shown separately, because they usually cannot be used until a certain age.
अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले सवाल (FAQs)
Should I include the home I live in?
Many people do, because it is a real asset. If you would rather see your net worth without it, enter zero for the home and for the home loan, and compare the two pictures.
How often should I check my net worth?
Once or twice a year is enough for most people. Checking it more often mostly shows market ups and downs, which can be unsettling without telling you much.
What is a good net worth?
It depends on your age, income and goals, and there is no single figure. A better test is whether your net worth is growing over time, and whether it can fund the goals you have in mind. Our Goal SIP calculator and Retirement calculator can help with those.
Is the result accurate?
It is only as accurate as the values you enter. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks, and their value changes every day. Read all scheme related documents carefully. Learn more on the AMFI investor awareness site.
Is my information saved?
