How I am paid, explained clearly.

Why this page exists
You should know how your distributor earns before you invest. Nivesh Sankalp believes a clear explanation builds trust, so this page explains it in plain language.
How I am paid
Nivesh Sankalp distributes mutual funds in Regular Plans. When you invest in a Regular Plan, the Asset Management Company (AMC) pays the distributor a trail commission from the scheme’s expense ratio for as long as your money stays invested. [Confirm with your AMC statements that you receive only trail commission.]
You do not pay any separate fee or charge directly to Nivesh Sankalp.
Regular Plans and Direct Plans
Regular Plans involve payment of commission to mutual fund distributors. Direct Plans do not include distributor commission, and are bought directly from the AMC. In return for the commission, I help you with goal planning, choosing schemes, KYC and paperwork, reviews, and support after you invest.
Commission differs by scheme
The commission an AMC pays can differ from one scheme, category, and AMC to another. This can create a conflict of interest, so my recommendations are based on your stated goals, risk profile and time horizon. You can ask me for the commission on any scheme before you invest. Write to archana@niveshsankalp.com or message +91 82719 24315.

How trail commission is calculated
Trail commission is paid by the AMC out of the scheme’s expense ratio. You do not pay it separately, and the NAV you see is already after expenses. It builds up every day on the value of your investment in the scheme, at an annual percentage rate, and is usually paid to me monthly.
Example 1: steady value
You hold ₹10,00,000 in an equity fund with an annual trail rate of 1.00%.
- Trail for a full year: ₹10,00,000 × 1.00% = ₹10,000
- Daily trail: ₹10,000 ÷ 365 = ₹27.40
- For a 30-day month: about ₹821.92
Example 2: value changes with the market
Because your investment value changes daily, so does the daily amount.
| Day | Investment value | Daily trail (1.00% p.a.) |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | ₹10,00,000 | ₹27.40 |
| Day 2 | ₹10,10,000 | ₹27.67 |
| Day 3 | ₹9,95,000 | ₹27.26 |
| 3-day total | ₹82.33 |
These examples are illustrative. Actual trail rates differ by AMC and scheme (see the table above), and each AMC applies its own accrual and payout process. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents carefully.
